Paris Historic tour
Come and discover the cradle of Paris, the Cité Island is where Paris
history started with the first inhabitants called Parisi.
Roman came for a couple of centuries before the first French King Clovis set his government on the island.
Today, the island is still the heart of the city and Paris still the capital of France. And, to complete the visit, you'll go across the river to the left bank, where are the medieval narrow streets of the Latin Quarter.
During the 3 hour walking tour, you will cross the island and the main buildings such as the Conciergerie, oldest royal residence, the low court, constructed as a propaganda building in the days of Napoleon 3rd, Notre Dame Cathedral, jewel of early gothic style and the rose windows dating back to the 13th Cy, the romantic meeting place where met Eloïse and Abelard, symbolizing eternal love.
On the left bank, you will see the Saint-Severin church, late gothic style, and its charnel house, the Cluny building, former Roman public bath turned into a religious mansion in the Middle Ages. College de France and Sorbon University as a conclusion.

The Cité island is linked to Saint-Louis island, second biggest island after City island. constructed as a tribute king Saint-Louis by the Sun king in the 17th Cy, it was an highly aristocratic place of Paris, today, one of the wealthiest.
Then, to the right bank, you will go back to the middle ages across the narrow tiny streets of le Marais, former marshland dried by monks in the 12th Cy and constructed with mansions in the 16th and 17th Cy.
It's also the oldest neighborhood where Jewish community leaves, with typical jewish shops and restaurants. It's where the tour ends.

The covered passageways and Opera Garnier
The covered
passageways are a true Parisian creation in the early 19th Cy. Real
temple of shopping, they were very trendy and successful. You will go
across until the boulevards, entertainment area pierced in the 19th Cy with
restaurants, cafes, theaters and cinemas. Then, the main spectacular building
would be the Opera house, extraordinary realm created by the architect
Charles Garnier. Inaugurated in 1875, public considered the show was not on the
stage but in the staircase. The opera was the place to be!!!
During the 3h walking tour, meeting place is Royal Palace, where 1st covered passageway was created in the middle of dives attracting all bandits, you'll cross Gallery Vivienne and Gallery Colbert and the oldest one called the Panorama. Then we'll walk to the Opéra house for a guided visit inside.
